TOGGLER® Hollow-Wall Anchors
For Medium Loads
The TOGGLER® hollow-wall anchor is ideal for all light to medium duty anchoring and fastening. Designed for use in standard residential drywall or gypsum board, the anchor pre-installs without the screw and "pops" open and locks as a fully toggled anchor on walls, ceilings, or floors. In all materials thicker than its grip range it works as a wedge anchor, even if you hit a stud. The anti-rotation fins prevent the anchor from spinning in the wall, so that you can use a screw gun. The anchor does not damage the wall upon installation or removal.
All holding values given below are per anchor with the screws shown in the packages. All pull-out values are independent laboratory tests done according to U.S. Government standards. They should be used as guidesonly. The age, condition, and capacity of the substrate must be considered.
Industry standards recommend 1/4 of ultimate test load. Holding strength for a TOGGLER hollow-wall anchor varies directly with the strength and condition of the wall material–and inversely with variations in hole diameter and the distance of the load from the wall. See our Technical Bulletin tc.jpg
SNAPTOGGLE® Hollow-Wall Anchors
For Heavy Loads
With traditional spring wing and gravity toggle bolts, when the bolt is removed, the wing or metal bar into which the bolt is threaded falls behind the wall. But that's not the case with the TOGGLER® BRANDSNAPTOGGLE® toggle bolt!
The SNAPTOGGLE anchor gets its name because it works in a snap. Its new longer, stronger, and more durable plastic straps work in base materials 3/8 to 3 5/8 inches thick and will not break prematurely like other plastic straps. Its straps snap off flush with the wall every time. It's a vast improvement over the version it replaced, which had a grip range of only 3/8 to 2 1/2 inches. The metal channel has a 7X more corrosion resistant plating, and it can push aside insulation.
Here's how it works:
Hold the metal channel flat against the plastic straps and push the metal channel through the hole. Pull the straps toward you so that the metal channel is flat against the back of the wall, and ratchet the collar down until it fits flush into the hole. The teeth in the straps lock into the slots in the collar to hold the metal channel in place. Then, break the straps. Now you can use the appropriate bolt to attach whatever you are mounting. That's it! A one-person job anyone can do!
* All holding values given below are per anchor with a 2 1/2"-long bolt of the same thread as the anchor (e.g., 3/16"-24, 1/4"-20, M5, etc.). All pull-out values are independent laboratory tests done according to U.S. Government standards. They should be used as guides only. The age, condition, and capacity of the substrate must be considered.
Industry standards recommend 1/4 of ultimate test load. Holding strength for a SNAPTOGGLE heavy-duty hollow-wall anchor varies directly with the strength and condition of the wall material—and inversely with variations in hole diameter and the distance of the load from the wall. SnapSkru®
Hollow Wall – Light-Medium Loads
The TOGGLER® SnapSkru® anchor is the industry's first self-drilling drywall anchor that does NOT destroy the drywall when using the anchor. You can remove the screw and the item, leaving the anchor in the wall for re-use ... or easily remove the anchor when you choose.
The anchor's built-in "positive stop" resists overdrilling. Its unique tip does not wander on the wall ... the anchor drills itself into the drywall accurately and easily, with no need for pre-drilling.
When activated with a screw, the SnapSkru anchor opens with an audible "pop", locking the anchor on the wall. The drywall gypsum and its paper are kept in compression and thereby immediately reinforced.
This enables the SnapSkru anchor to:
With a #8 x 1-1/2" screw the SP™ SnapSkru Regular anchor will hold up to:
With a #6 x 1-1/4" screw the SPM™ SnapSkru MINI anchor will hold up to:
Holding values are ultimate tensile pull with the specified screw. Industry safety standards recommend 1/4 of ultimate test load. The age, condition, and capacity of the substrate must be considered.
Holding strength for a SnapSkru self-drilling drywall anchor varies directly with the strength and condition of the wall material–and inversely with the distance of the load from the wall. See Technical Bulletin sp.jpg
ALLIGATOR® Solid-Wall Anchors
For Medium to Heavy Loads
The ALLIGATOR® solid-wall anchor replaces old-fashioned wedge, sleeve, drop-in, adhesive, and epoxy anchors. It provides the strongest possible holding power and is ideal for use in concrete, brick, masonry, stone, block, and tile over drywall.
ALLIGATOR anchors do NOT spin and do NOT countersink into the wall because of the special shape of their head and because of their anti-rotation fins; so, you can use a screw gun. For maximum holding in high compression strength substrates, use a screw with a diameter equal to the drill diameter.
ALLIGATOR® anchors work even if they hit a hollow or cavity in the wall. The screw thread locks into the "teeth" in the anchor for vibration proof and shock proof holding.
All holding values given below are per anchor with the screws listed. All pull-out values are independent laboratory tests done according to U.S. Government standards. They should be used as guides only. The age, condition, and capacity of the substrate must be considered.
Industry standards recommend 1/4 of ultimate test load. Holding strength for an ALLIGATOR solid-wall anchor varies directly with the strength and condition of the wall material–and inversely with variations in hole diameter and the distance of the load from the wall. See Technical Bulletin af6.jpg
